HomeSpaLady Preps for Feng Shui by Clearing Clutter
Okay, I took a few days off from writing - which is not really in alignment with my commitiment to write every day - but some things just need to come first - before doing anything !!! and up til now, I’ve been writing in a razzled space (I like that word - I just made that up, is that really a word? I’ll look it up) - that I’m surprised that I have gotten this much done!
As I’m making changes in my world to bring HomeSpaLady out into the world - currently my world is upside down. That happens when we move - and I just moved my office out of a professional office building and into my home that I just inherited. This home was our family home that I grew up in - and where Mom and Dad recently made their transitions from (more about that story later, but for now you can take a glance at www.peacefulpassages.org).
Saturday I had this rip roaring energy to attack a few closets that I hadn’t touched for the longest time. I did the sorting thru thing - ‘this goes to consignment’, ‘this to Good Will’, and ‘this to - uh, when I try my hand at e-bay!’
Well, Saturday’s work poured into Sunday, and then into Monday when I stacked my driveway full of things for Purple Heart to pick up on Tuesday - and ran around to the dollar dry cleaners and put in over 30 items to get cleaned up for consignment.
Yes, I feel tired today - but the space is dazzled (that is a word) instead of razzled because of the clearing and cleansing that is happening here.
You know, Living the Spa Life at Home everyday has it’s basis in self care. Even though I wasn’t pampering myself with salt baths and body scrubs these last few days, I feel cleansed and cleared on another level - and clearing clutter is one of the best forms of self care we can give ourselves!
ps - I looked up ‘razzled’ in the dictionary, it doesn’t exist. So, it is truly a ’sniglet’ (a word created when there seems to be no other appropriate word ) and I will add it to the ‘Spa-Talk’ - Spa Vocabulary and Glossary of Terms. It now means “having yor environment in a state of frenzy” - hey, how do you like that? I just created a word and it’s meaning
